Solar Eclipse on February 7, 2008

Four Eclipses during the year; Solar Eclipse on February 7 to start with

Solar Eclipse

As many as four eclipses will be visible during the year 2008. The first one of these is a Solar Eclipse that falls on February 7. This will be followed by a Total Lunar eclipse on February 21 which will again be followed by a Total Solar eclipse on August 1. The final one is a partial Lunar eclipse that occurs on August 16.

The first of the eclipses, the Solar Eclipse that falls on February 7, 2008, would be happening in the skies of Makara Rasi in the constellation of Dhanista star. The visibility of the Annual eclipse starts at 8.49am IST and ends at 10.55am IST with the greatest eclipse occurring at 9.25am.

The annual Solar eclipse is has the biggest duration of 2 minutes and 12 seconds, since the 48th eclipse of the Saros series 121 that happened on September 27, 1791. It would surely have its impact on the centre stage of world affairs. The eclipse is taking place at a time when Ravi and Sani are exchanging houses with each other and with Kuja having mutual aspects with Guru and Sukra. Kuja that goes under the shadow of Rahu. The combination of Guru and Sukra in the religious sign of Dhannus implies that the countries or states opposing terrorism all over the world, especially in the West, would join hands to take on terrorism in a more befitting manner from now. The combination of Guru and Sukra stands also for pilgrim centres, prayers halls like temples, mosques and churches in addition to financial institutions. Kuja coming under the aspect of Rahu further strengthens both the malefic nature of the former and that the effect of eclipse taking place in the constellation of Dhanista owned by Kuja. Terrorism would get more strengthened, targeting the wealthy nations like US and UK and their allies. Overall, this eclipse indicates increase in the number of terrorist strikes on the said targets during the year. Terrorist activities are likely to take place irrespective of visibility if the eclipse between April 30 and June 21 until which Kuja would be receiving the influence of Rahu. The likely targets could be economic and financial centres in the Western countries.

Natives who are undergoing Ravi maha dasa or anthar dasa have to perform necessary remedial measures during the Solar eclipse.
