Scientific evidence says that during the period of the past 18 years and 18 days, nearly 41 solar Eclipses and 29 Lunar Eclipses have occurred. As many as five solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses have actually occurred in during the last one year. Whenever two eclipses fall during a year, chances are the two will be Solar Eclipses. Considering that the previous Solar Eclipse that occured on August 1, 2008 and the current Lunar eclipses falling in the Lunar month of Sravanamasam, such an occurance is considered to be quite unfavorable.
